Go Back to the Fundamentals

When the pressure mounts, players often overlook the basics—footwork, dribbling, ball control, shooting mechanics. The fundamentals are the foundation of every great player’s career.

During a losing streak, doubling down on these core skills is key. And you don’t need a court or gym to do it. With a Muted Motion basketball, you can practice ball handling in your living room or bedroom without noise complaints or damage.

Try these daily 10-minute drills:

  • Stationary dribbles (right hand, left hand, crossover, behind-the-back)
  • Footwork drills (quick steps, pivots, defensive slides)
  • Control challenges (low dribbles, high dribbles, rhythm changes)

Silent practice means you can get hundreds of touches a day—even when you’re not on the court. That consistency pays off when the next game comes around.
